Board of Supervisors

The Township is governed by three elected members to the Board of Supervisors.  Terms expire on December 31st of the year indicated.  The Board regularly meets on the first and third Monday of each month at 7:30pm at the Township Building, 1039 Wilmington Pike, West Chester, PA.

Mike T. Di Domenico, Chair (2019)

Mike has lived in Westtown since 1985.  He and his wife, Kathy, are parents of two sons, Mike and Nick.  Kathy and Mike enjoy travel and riding motorcycles.  He is an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman.  He is also passionate about restoring muscle cars.

A class of 1969 graduate of Slippery Rock University, Mike began a 24 year teaching career in the public school system. Upon completion of a Penn State University Graduate degree, including an Administration /Principal Certification, he finished his 35 year career in public education as a principal in 2003. The last 11 years of his career were spent in administrative capacities.

Mike’s interest in the on-lot sewage management issue and the government of Westtown Township convinced him to become involved in local government.  He desires to foster an open and transparent government, with prudent fiscal reform and responsibility, and to be an advocate of the citizens.  He hopes to encourage more citizens to be a voice in the workings of Westtown Township.

Carol R. De Wolf, Vice Chair (2015)

Carol has served on the Westtown Township Board of Supervisors since 2003, and has rotated on the WEGO Police Commission. Prior to being elected to the Board, Carol served on the Westtown Planning Commission. Carol is also on the Board of the Chester County Association of Township Officials, and the West Chester Area Council of Governments.

Carol has a BA from the University of Colorado in Environmental Conservation and Planning; attended the University Of Colorado Graduate School Of Public Affairs, and Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, and received a Master’s in Public Administration and a Master’s in Political Science.

Carol has worked over thirty years for municipalities and counties on planning, policy, public works, and water resource projects in the front range of Colorado, and this regional area.

Thomas F. Haws, Police Commissioner (2017)

Thomas F. Haws, Jr. joined the Board in 2012, and has been a resident of Westtown Township since 2005. He and his wife, Trish, are proud parents of two sets of twins (Lexi Skylar & Kaylee Marie, age 13; Gracie Jane and Thomas Augustine, age 6).

Tom grew up in Wilmington, DE but spent much of his childhood in Westtown, visiting his grandparents. Tom graduated from Salesianum High School in 1994 and went on to receive his B.S. in Biology from Ursinus College in 1998. Since 1997, Tom has worked in the pharmaceutical industry with extensive experience in the fields of clinical development, clinical pharmacology, molecular and cellular biology, assay development with a strong working knowledge of many biological disease states.

Tom’s interest in public service and his passion for Westtown Township convinced him to become involved in local government. He desires to focus on the demands and needs of the community while being transparent and respectful. Rebuilding the Township’s infrastructure and capital reserves, while being fiscally responsible, is paramount to him.
